/   Our Programmes   /   Health and Gender Equity, Sanitation and Nutrition Strategy

On Sanitation; we are committed at ensuring that communities attain and sustain open defecation free status, households and institutions gain, increased access and use of improved sanitation facilities coupled with changed sanitation and hygiene behaviors at scale."

On Nutrition; We are committed at contributing to reducing stunting to children under five years U5 (U5) , increase the proportional of children with a diet of regular and health meals as well as improving nutrition for women of reproductive age which are pregnant women, lactating women, adolescents and more importantly to children under five years within the project area.

On Gender; we recognize that men and women often have different needs and priorities, face different constraints, have different aspirations, and contribute to development in different ways. To enable the exploration and understanding of gender differences, we systematically deploy and continuously improve tools to assess the needs of both males and females in our formative research and monitoring and evaluation. As well we strive to ensure that all staff understand the different roles, responsibilities and experiences of women and men in their daily social - economic endeavors.
