Core Challenges we are addressing
Household income poverty: inability of low-income communities to generate additional sustainable income to improve their livelihood.
Our Target Beneficiaries
Low-income communities i.e., households that struggle to improve and sustain the livelihood i.e., fail to meet livelihood protection threshold over longer time. This include failing to have sustained income to cater for food, shelter, cloth, sanitation, and health care.
Our Strategic Thematic Areas
- Enhance financial inclusion by enabling low-income communities to build Community Microfinance Groups (CMGs) to access financial services
- Promote employment creation through sustainable enterprises among the youth, women, and other marginalized rural and urban communities.
- Health, sanitation, and gender equality - health facilities and gender equality among marginalized rural and urban communities.
- Enhance environmental conservation by promoting sustainable livelihood options and natural resource management among the marginalized rural and urban communities.
- Enhance SEDIT and partners’ sustainability in terms of its governance and resources mobilization for carrying out the required change.
